This is an aged care organisation providing high levels of care within luxury facilities. Berrington has a great name in the industry with two homes to our portfolio. An experienced aged care provider with plenty in the pipeline.

Experience

  • 2 years’ experience as a clinician involved in the aged care environment; including staff supervision and performance management

Academic/Professional Qualifications 

  • Registered Nursing Qualification
  • Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board
  • Current WA Police Clearance

Desired experience and skills

  • First Aid Certificate
  • Knowledge of ACFI and accreditation principles
  • Knowledge of Dementia
  • Familiar with current care practices, policies and procedures, including a knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety requirements
  • Advanced computer skills in excel and word. Icare knowledge preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal skills
  • Ability to prioritise workload effectively to create efficiency

The Role

  • Complete clinical assessments, observations, decision making and services within your scope of practice and registration as required to the standard expected and safely
  • Provide direct and individualised nursing care to residents on a shift-by-shift basis.
  • Along with the care team and professional practitioners, develop and deliver care aimed to meet the physical, emotional and social needs of residents.
  • Assess individual resident needs, plan and implement or coordinate appropriate service delivery from a range of accepted options.
  • Complete residents care plan assessments on admission
  • Monitor resident care plans and participate in clinical auditing as required to ensure appropriate resident care outcomes are achieved daily
  • Contribute to interventions for effectively dealing with people exhibiting challenging behaviours.
  • All other reasonable duties as directed by the Care Manager
  • Perform medication competencies for required staff
  • Complete accurate documentation using Icare
